The tower of the Sun In 1970, the first world exposition in Asia was held in Osaka, Japan. This was a project of the most magnificent scale ever. People's hope and expectation for the future were expressed with passion by means of all kinds of creation. 77 countries took part in this project to express and share their dreams. Some facilities are still preserved and we can hear their stories, feel their vibrant passion. They're theree to show us the courage to take action and build a future vision. The tower of the Sun was built by an artist Taro Okamoto as a part of pavilion. It was built southwardly to receive the sun light. The tower has 4 faces in alignment. The golden face on the top of the tower represents the Future, the face of the sun in the middle represents the Present, the black face on the back - see image below - represents the Past, and there was a face beneath the ground level of the tower. a white face (image below) represents the Source of the heart. And the tower stretches its arms to receive all there is as a blessing.
